High voltage in Pokhara

With a sound system of 70,000 Watt, Orbit High Voltage Rock Concert, sponsored by Orbit International Education at Pokhara Pradarsani Kendra, definitely rocked Pokhara, that too for three whole days, from 24-26 February. A total of 28 bands and solo artistes from Kathmandu and Pokhara performed for more than 16,000 people. Among them were X-Mantra, Nepsydaz', D-Morcha, Deurali, Aatma, Manasaya, The Legend, Mingma Sherpa, Mausami Gurung, DJ Raju and more. Event manager Bhaskar Dhoj Shrestha said, "The crowd loved it and we made good money." Shrestha, who sang the hit song Jhyamma Jhyamma some three years back, now organises concerts with his event management team Sur 2003.
