18 Changes we would like to see in NEPAL IN the next 18 years
For too long, Nepal has been ruled by mighty men who clearly have made a mess of the job. We think it's time a woman takes charge. A female Prime Minister and a President would be extremely welcome.
What wouldn't we do to have well managed streets with no pot holes? Greenery on the side of the road would be great.
When will people stop spitting and peeing on the roads or at any public place for that matter? Hopefully within the next 18 years such instances will be rare.
How wonderful would it be if we didn't have to worry about charging our torches, phones, laptops as soon as we got home because the lights would never go. No load shedding, Yeah! That's what we want.
Ever got sick of hearing about innocent couples being harassed by police just because they were getting it on and mind you in the privacy of hotel rooms. We are too. No more moral policing!
Kathmandu doesn't feel the same anymore with the population doubling and buildings mushrooming everywhere. We want to breathe fresher, cleaner air.
Yes to air-conditioned public transportation with proper schedules and no to over-crammed micros and buses which reek of sweat and farts.
Civil Mall gets boring after a few visits. We need better entertainment centers for the young and the young at heart.
Whether or not the other points on the list come true, we are hopeful this one will. Quality Nepali movies to compete at international levels to make us proud.
No stray animals lying around streets bruised and in pain.
etter governance at all levels.
Stop staring people; it is not a good habit.
Greater acceptance of each other- enough of discriminating on the basis of gender, ethnicity, religion, language, size, sexual orientation, caste, class and wealth!
A clean Bagmati river with fish actually swimming in its waters.
Well functioning traffic lights with stricter procedures for getting driving licenses
Let us have a good time, will you? Shutting down on the night life isn't doing anything to decrease the crime rate of the country so why be a party pooper?
One of our airports has already been featured as the world's most dangerous airport. We hope, in the next 18 years one of our airports will be featured for being the most beautiful one. In the meantime, how about sprucing up the one and only international airport we have?
