Days are warmer. Nights are shorter. That can only mean one thing – summer and just in case you need an excuse, as if anyone needs an excuse to party. Hosting the perfect summer shindig just got easier. You're welcome.

Just don't go into a sugar coma.

Winking Murder
Have the group form a circle and choose one player to be the detective. Have the detective wait outside or in another room where they can't hear anything the rest of the group might say.
While the detective is away, have the group in the circle choose someone to be the murderer. Now call back the detective and have them stand in the middle of the circle. When the detective is ready, the murderer will wink at people in the circle.
Anyone who sees that they have been winked at lets out a blood-curdling scream and "dies". But tell the players not to keep looking at the murderer, because the detective has only to look where they were looking to know who the murderer is.
The detective has three attempts to guess the murderer. If they don't, then the detective is taken away from the group again and a new murderer is chosen.
You're cordially invited to a Barbeque Party
Time to fire up the grill. Throw away all dining etiquette as you reward yourself with meltingly tender BBQ pork and smoked chicken. Cold beer (white wine spritzer for the ladies) is mandatory.
Filipino Pork Barbeque
1 kg Pork
20 bamboo skewers
Marination
250 ml (1 cup) of soy sauce
1 head garlic, minced
1 onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup of lime juice
1/2 cup of 7up, sprite or beer (this adds flavour and makes the pork BBQ tender)
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons of brown or white sugar
1/2 cup of tomato ketchup
1. Cut pork meat into thin and long slices.
2. In a mixing bowl, marinate the pork with the ingredients.
3. Mix well and keep in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
4. Prepare the bamboo skewers by removing splinters and soaking in water to reduce burning during barbeque.
5. String the pork on the skewers.
6. Over live charcoals, barbeque the pork on skewers until each barbeque is cooked – turning every few minutes on each side and basting the leftover marinate on the barbeque.
City to CityHave the guests form a circle and choose someone to start. The first person begins by naming any city. The next person names a city starting with the last letter of the last word used. The person starting might say "Moscow". The next player names a city which begins with the last letter of Moscow - "W". The player might say "Warsaw".
Each player has 3 seconds to think of her city and if she can't remember the name of a city in 3 seconds, she is out of the game. Last person wins.
P.S: Once everybody has a few tipple, this can get rather fun.
You're cordially invited to A Karaoke Party
One doesn't need good vocals or top notch karaoke system to host a party that will be the talk of the town. You just need crazy friends who aren't afraid to croon to a Britney Spears number. If you don't have a karaoke machine, fret not. All you need is a microphone, good speakers and www.karaokeparty.com.
Speedy Nachos
Tip corn chips on to a baking tray,
Pour over salsa and scatter over a few sliced spring onions.
Grate over a good chunk of cheese (cheddar will do). Add a pinch of crushed chili flakes and jalapeno peppers. Put under a hot grill for about 3 minutes to melt the cheese. Serve with sour cream.
Rockstar, Superstar
Write names of famous rock stars on to post-it notes and stick them on the back of each guest's shirt as he/she arrives. No one can see which rock star they received. They must talk to other and ask a 'Yes' or 'No' question to try and figure out who they are. Another way to play this game and ensure players can't peek is to forgo the post-its and give everyone a list of who everyone else is when they arrive, everyone of course except themselves. The player who correctly guesses which rockstar she is wins a prize.
