WAVE went around asking women and men of Kathmandu what they desire in the opposite sex and what turns them on. We were worried men would only talk about breasts and curves, but while physical beauty is still their top priority, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that some of our men also desire intelligent, witty partners with strong personalities.
The women surprised us as well. They seem to have abandoned their quest for 'tall dark and handsome prince' and settled for well groomed men with a good sense of personal hygiene, who are knowledgeable and who don't take themselves too seriously. The women we talked to were also extremely candid and told us openly that 'size' and 'hot booty' matters as much to them as it does for the boys.
We are still a long way from gender equality, but at least we are starting to see eye to eye when it comes to 'sexiness'.
