Hey there,

It's been a glorious month and we are super excited about this issue. We have Anjali Lama, Nepal's first transgender model gracing our covers and we couldn't be more stoked about it. Words like inclusion and acceptance are bandied about but rarely applied. And what do these words mean anyway besides 'belonging', for it is a basic human need to belong, and who is any person to ostracise another on whatever basis- beliefs, class, caste, gender, religion, sexuality, size, skin colour - for none of us are without fault.

Trishna Rana looks at the unspoken but prevalent issue of bullying in Nepali schools. Nepa.Li explores the human side of dance bar girls. Slok Gyawali who is also a rising slam poet, poses the question as to why we should agree to disagree and Kyle Knight speaks to Roshan Mahato, a wonderful intelligent young man, about LGBTI rights. Yubakar, the founder editor of WAVE is back writing in these pages about his experiences travelling across the country to understand what it means to be a Nepali.

This month the WAVE team travelled to east Nepal, and we have fallen in love with our country's people. Living in Kathmandu, it's easy to forget the hospitality that Nepalis are renowned for, for the capital has become fast, cruel and jaded. A huge shout-out to all in Dharan who made our stay there so delightful!

Ms Lhenzi, our uber-stylista is back doing what she does best- informing us about the latest accessories that we should be on the look-out for to enhance our spring wardrobes.

Enjoy the issue and have a wonderful month
