I, me and my fashion blog
SUNDUP SHERPA | A student at Fashion Institute of Technology, New York. A blogger (RowsofRuffles). Freelance makeup artist. Owns an online store, LustOverThese.com. Recently interned with Prabal Gurung. Lhenzi is all of these and more. She may channel high-end glamour but deep down, she is laid back and family-oriented. Drawing inspiration from her mother, Lhenzi is gearing up to 'chase her dreams'. If she can walk in those Jeffrey Campbell shoes, this tres-stylish Wonder Woman can succeed at just about anything. Look 1: Winter New York winter is oh-so-cold, which is why I will be wearing a lot of fur, faux fur that is, in different hues and all shapes and sizes. It is all about being chic, warm and ethical this winter! Winter look
Zara Faux Fur coat Zara green trousers Zara silk top Jeffrey Campbell Lita Free People Floppy Hat Vintage Chanel Backpack Dolce&Gabbana Cat eye sunnies YSL Arty ring. Matte lips (in any hues) As seen on Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, Richard Chai. Tip: You can mattify any lip color by applying translucent powder over your lipstick. Dare to sport dark deep burgundy lips. My current favourite is YSL Rouge Volupte in Forbidden Burgundy. Tip for New Years look Nothing says a Happy New Year better than a gorgeous glitter sequin dress. If sequins seem frightening, go for glitter nails or eyelids. DIY Denim Shorts 1. A pair of Scissors. 2. Blade. 3. Old jeans. 4. Pair of current shorts to measure the cutting length. 5. Old Pair high waisted acid jeans (high waisted is not neccesary you can use any style) What you will need 1. Old Pair of high waisted acid jeans (high waisted is not neccesary you can use any style) 2. High waisted denim shorts (if you picked a low waist jeans make sure you use a low waisted shorts to measure). Align it with the crotch area., as shown below 3. Cut at least 1.5 inches or 2 inches longer 4. Use the leg to cut the other leg. 5. Like this 6. It should look something like this. 7. Take a magazine or book. 8. Put it inside the jeans, make sure to pull the pockets out too. You do this so you don't end up cutting the back side of of your shorts & have holes in your pocket 9. Cut the area you want to destroy. 2 parallel lines to begin with. The more destroyed, the more cuts. 10. Your cuts should look something like this. 11. Start pulling out the darker thread and you should be left with the lighter ones. Shown below. 12. After you are done. I only did one side for this shorts. Next, for the bottom run you scissors without cutting it but roughly runnning it over and over the hemline. 13. Wash & Throw it in the Dryer. It should come out even more destroyed. You are done! Look 1: My New Years Eve Look This New Year's Eve, instead of the minis, I'm opting for a Bianca Jagger; classic trouser-suit look. The key accessory is my Versace for H&M embellished Jaguar Choke, which is MY object of desire. It may not be everyone's 'cup of tea' but then again, 'ordinary' never was mine. What I am wearing on New Year's Eve look Zara Double breasted jacket Theory wide leg trousers Versace for H&M chokers American Apparel bodysuit Jeffrey Campbell Pauline Coach Boyfriend Crystal Bezel Bracelet watch. Graphic liners As seen on Dolce&Gabbana, Fendi & Kanye West. Tip: If you are a beginner use felt tip liner for more control. Final words Do what you love as it will make you happy. Not a myth at all! Fashion Tips Accessorize and mix unconventional pieces. Experiment! If you see something that you think is cute and if 'cute' is not you, go to the changing room and try it anyway. You'll never know. Full brows As seen on Proenza & Theory. Tips: Use powder brow shadow like Shiseido eyebrow compact or you could also use eyeshadow. Apply color that is closest to your hair color with angled liner brush for a natural look.
