Gx-soul
Most of you may recognize them from their fist single 'Panchi' or 'Chahanchu' of their 2008 album 'Rap for freedom' but since then a lot has changed. The group which first started with two talented rappers, Viber-Bi and Nimsang, released their first album 'Rap for freedom' under Leeja International's label. And after three long years of preparation and hard work, they have finished their second project 'Gorkhali Extreme' under the record label 'Superstar Ent.' with a new crew member, Bullet-Flo. Bibaz Jung Giri a.k.a Viber-bi, who is the crew leader of the group, has been into Hip-Hop since his early days. Influenced and inspired by old school Hip-Hop artists like Rakhim, Public Enemy and others, he walks on their footsteps with his own style and so far has convinced people that Hip-Hop's not just about the loose outfits and caps but having the skills to represent it. Nima Pun a.k.a Nimasang and Viber-bi were from the same neighbourhood and after finding and harnessing each other's talents, they formed Gx-Soul and since then, have been growing bigger and better. Suraj Bikram Thapa a.k.a Bullet-Flo, also nicknamed 'The Busta Rhymes of Nep-Hop' by his many fans has proven that rapping fast is not impossible for a Nepali. In their new album he has defined speed by words, which not only has speed but also meaning to it. Their album is comprised of 9 songs ranging from Hip-Hop, Rap and R&B, featuring a few of the best artists of Nepal like COD, Mac, Nepsydaz, Dougie and more. With songs like Bounce and Poppin' being played at every night club, they are truly conquering the nights of Kathmandu. You will also find love songs on their album like Yaad, Mitho Sapna and Sateyara. Their video release of Raat Vari - featuring COD, which gathered more than a 100,000 views in less than a month on YouTube in just a few days, is being acclaimed as one of the most viewed Nepali videos. So with their success of Raat Vari, they are ready for their next video Mitho Sapna which will be released in the near future for their many eager fans. So if you haven't listened to their songs, do buy their album from iTunes or from any store near you. It sure won't be a waste. | ||||||||||||||||||||
