Phoolko Aankhama –
Ani Chhoying Dolma
Ani Choying's voice is incredible so is Durga Lal Shrestha's lyrics in 'Phool ko Ankhama'. Nyhoo Bajracharya's music takes the song to a different level altogether. This songs soothes my soul and calms my mind whenever I listen to it.
Karna Das
He is one of the most melodious Nepali singers of our time. I find all of his songs very heart touching, especially 'Bhetiera chutnu', 'Bistarai chayo' and 'Timro mero', because they have a great combination of an amazing voice, superb music and meaningful lyrics.
Euta Mancheko-Narayan Gopal
If there was a god and if he could sing in Nepali then he would sound somewhat like Narayan Gopal. For me Narayan Gopal and Nepali music are almost synonymous and listening to his songs just makes me forget this world. But amongst all the songs "Euta manche ko maya le kati" has to be my favorite.
Jhari Pareko Din –
Babin Pradhan
The title of the song says it all. The song is written beautifully and whenever it is raining or cloudy outside, I make sure this song makes it to my playlist.
Pehela Nasha –
Jo Jita Woh Sikandar
Pehla Nasha is a kind of song that makes you want to fall in love. This is the most romantic song I have ever heard and the very first beat of the music of the song makes my heart beat faster.
Soni Shrestha is currently studying Bachelors in Music at Kalanidhi Indira Sangeet Mahavidyalaya.
Everything I do – Bryan Adams
Ask me what I like in this song, and my answer would be 'Everything'
When You Know – Shawn Colvin
I love romantic songs, but then who doesn't? I became a fan of this song after I heard it for the first time since then it has been one of my all time favorites.
Na Koi Umanga Hai –
Lata Mangeshkar
I believe music has no boundary and no language and that's the reason why I absolutely love to listen to Lata Mangeshkar's songs despite the fact that I neither speak nor write in Hindi. This song is just pure magic.
Jab Deep Jale Aana –
Lata Mangeshkar
I love to listen to this song not only because it is sung by a great singer but also because it is composed with very difficult notes and strikes the chords of our heart straightaway.
Naam Gum Jayega –
Lata Mangeshkar and Bhupendra
This is again a classic song by the evergreen Lata Mangeshkar and Bhupendra which was composed by R. D. Burman. I don't know who wrote this beautiful song but whoever did, s/he must have been a great poet.
