A Very Happy New Year to everyone from all of us here at the WAVE team. Our resolution for 2012 is to make WAVE more interesting, innovative, vibrant and full of all the things you want to see and read about.

And what better time to uphold that resolution than with the January issue. It's chock-a-block full of a variety of articles and features. We present a special feature on bikes... the new varieties available in the market, the rise of biking clubs and accessories available in the market to adorn yourself and your mean machine.

Here at WAVE, many of our conversations are dominated by food. What we love to eat, where the best deals are to be found, how to cook local delicacies, but more and more these conversations are peppered by our growing concerns about pesticides and fertilisers and how we are affecting our health by what we are putting inside our bodies. We look at these issues and more in 'Food, Glorious Food'.

Concerned about the number of Nepalis being fleeced by unscrupulous 'study abroad' agencies, we look at 3 institutes in Nepal that are working towards reversing the trend of students going to the UK to gain degrees in higher education, by bringing British education to Nepal and providing students with industry- ready degrees.

Dambar K Shrestha looks at the life of the Nepali diaspora in Hong Kong and we are super-excited about Lhenzi, our stylista from New York, who shows us the latest trends and how to incorporate them in our own wardrobes.

Enjoy the issue and see you next month.
