POSTER PEOPLE
WAVE could be better if it cut down on advertisement, enlarged the posters and included lifestyles of hip-hop artistes every month.
- Sunaina Shrestha
I like WAVE's new outlook. I also liked 'We care, do you?' in the December issue. But why don't you give us posters of Nepali artistes? I'm a big fan of Prakash Poudel; can you send me his poster through mail?
- Zenisaa, Australia
I used to find WAVE expensive but now I'm in college, I find it very interesting and have become a regular reader. I'm a big fan of Sugam Pokharel, can you publish his picture?
– Elishiva
GOD BLESS WAVE
I've been addicted to WAVE and I never miss any of the issues. God bless WAVE.
- Anish, Pokhara
I'm a regular reader of your magazine and I sincerely thank you for giving information on Ram Bahadur Bomjan in the January issue.
- Rajen, Bhojpuray guy
I like WAVE's new look. Keep up the good work.
- Rijan
Hey Hommies: Ya'll are doing a G-R-E-A-T job. I love your mag. Just dropped a line to wish ya'll good luck. Don't recoil even though the road is a bit bumpy; bumpy rides are fun when one knows how to drive! Could you add more info on hip-hop, R&B, rap, soul and Latin music? Keep chilling!
– Shristi Rajkarnikar
I love reading Yatralogue, Pushkar and I like the songbook. Thanks for Nickelback's poster. Please publish Deep Purple, Scorpions, or Metallica next time. Thank you for publishing Nepathya's song, can you give us more info on their new band members? The Yatralogue on Illam and the focus on wildlife conservationists were good.
- Sandesh Gurung
WAVE, my best magazine really rocks. I love its webpage too. Thanks for including top bands in the songbook.
- Sadichcha Shrestha
OUR THOUGHTS
Your last issue was fabulous—cover story, young ideas, songbook, everything. Please feature rock bands too.
- Subarna Maharjan
Thanks for keeping me updated with new ideas through articles in Career Bazaar. Please create a space for us to express our ideas and have our articles published.
- Saru (Jade), Dharan
Dear Saru: We have started a section called 'Readers Write' where we publish select articles sent by readers on random topics.
I've been reading WAVE for a long time and it looks good visually but not textually. I think you should concentrate on language rather than on looks.
- SHEla-ghalE
IT WITH IT, FORMER WAVE
I am a WAVE subscriber and I liked the coverage on gadgets. If you had included the prices of those gadgets, we'd have been more interested in buying them.
- Avlokan, Kathmandu
I liked the article on IT in the January issue. The Shikhar music concert's Yatralogue was also interesting. As Wave discussed the scope of IT in this issue, I'd be grateful if you could discuss the scope of Accounting and Chartered Accounting.
– Azaad Rana, KTM
January's WAVE was mind-blowing. I liked the cover story as it helped me know what's going on in IT in Nepal. I read WAVE online since I'm in the US and I miss the songbook. Can you put that online too?
– Jane Gurung
January issue's got good content and is visually appealing. But I have something to say about page 18 on Mac and Mini. It's written that the systems are "easy to update". iMacs and Mac mini's aren't easy to update. I had to use a knife to open my mini just to install RAM. Nepalinux and Village goes Global were good. If you could write about the battle between HD-DVDs and Blu-Ray, for instance, it would be exciting.
- Parimal
Thanks for publishing the Birgunj Shikhar Music Concert photos. Good to know that my hometown is becoming a happening place for music lovers. I was not aware that Khasa made ipods are available for only Rs 5,000! I bought an ipod mini for Rs 12,000. Now, I'm planning to buy four Khasa ipods. I'm a content writer and quality assurance executive in a leading KPO (Knowledge Process outsourcing) of India. Good to know that Nepal has a BPO too. My friends and I plan to leave India and join Serving Minds. You missed some basic points in 'Call from Kathmandu': introduction to inbound/outbound/transaction/chat process; age criteria; perks like loyalty, free cab and meals, and recreational facilities. Regular articles on shopping and eating joints is a good idea. The answer to Ramnaresh in WAVE got mail last month was very relevant and to the point. I come from Birgunj but completed my schooling from Little Angels' School. I was not treated as an alien in the capital. Nobody made fun of me saying I was a 'Madhise' or 'Dhoti'. We are all humans, we must treat others with equal respect.
- Suman Tiwari, Nipu, The Yo!
I don't know whether you'll print my letter but I have to tell you that this year's cover story was not as good as it was last year. The section on iPOD and laptop was ditto. The editorial was also very childish. You could've quoted pop icons. The cover concepts are also not new. Please be creative. And if you could invite the former WAVE members to contribute columns, it'd be interesting.
- Dibendra
We want to know about the former editor of WAVE. Where's he now?
- Binny
Dear Binny: Kashish Das Shrestha is now in the US where he works as editor of Nepali Awaaz (www.nepaliaawaz.com)
