Great voice seems to run in the Sunuwar family. Singer Reshma Sunuwar entirely accolades her father for moulding her into what she has become. And now, it's her 13-year-old son who is showing great promise as a singer.

Friendly, warm and humble, Reshma was born on 8 March. One of the first students of Sociology in Nepal, she says that the subject has truly deepened her humanitarian nature, making her more than just a-pleasing-voice.

She is actively involved with organisations such as Step Nepal, Model Society and Singer Society that help the needy. And to add to the list, she has recently built the Shrijana memorial foundation (named after her late mother) to empower Nepali girls. 

A true desh premi, in her own words, she is very much upset with the present political scenario of the country. Although sometimes the country does test her patience, settling abroad is not in her plans.

In future, besides being a singer, she hopes to join her dad in Agricultural Development Bank. Her plan is to utilise natural products and resources of her village Okhaldhunga and improve the lives of the people living there.

Reshma's favourite place outside Kathmandu is Pokhara and she will soon be going to Mugu for a concert. On her wish list is a visit to Finland and Croatia.

To kill time, movies are her ultimate choice, especially Bollywood comedies and actioners. And goods that she always carries with her are: sunscreen, license, blue book, bank cards and make-up (though she seldom uses it).

Heights and darkness are her two terrors. Ask her to sit by herself in the dark and she's sure to go weak in the knees. Currently, she's fully occupied with World Cup, putting all her hopes for Argentina and Spain!
