Barsha Rani Gurung

It's difficult to not get swayed by beauty. And that's the case with Barsha Rani Gurung or Rani, as she's fondly called. It used to be the same even when she was a little kid. Everyone had a soft corner for this little pretty; her perfect Rapunzel braids and her perfect Snow White face, everyone from the class teacher to all the boys as well as girls.

And by now, at the age of 19, she's become a sweet mixture of ALL the fairy princesses. Putting on a real tiara, Barsha was crowned Miss Mangol 2010 a few months back. But what's more is that she is much more than just pleasing
to the eyes.

An environmental enthusiast, she's carried out case studies on the use of pesticides in the Valley and in the Terai. Along with that, she's assisted in the environment projects of Care Nepal. And lastly, Barsha loves dancing, especially hip-hop. Currently she's in Thailand for a dance workshop organised by the American Voices.
