 ANUP PRAKASH
Adrian Pradhan has an old-world edge to his voice that resembles the singers of the yester years. One that resonates and reaches to the heart.

Popular drummer of the band 1974 AD, he also has a solo singing career. On February, he released his third album Janani, meaning mother, a tribute to the mother figure, as a nation, the earth and caregiver. The album has six tracks most of which are fast numbers and have pop beats. The songs are composed by Patrick Sitling, Subash Mukhia, Prakash Gurung, Narayan Oli, Brian Moktan and Adrian himself.

Aakasai ko is a fast, funky and energectic one about a faraway lover and there is another sentimental one about the highs and lows of a relationship.  Dherai Tadha is an even more serious and deep approach about seeking solace after a chaotic breakup. The album takes a lively turn from the fifth track Sirsir Siri Ri, which is lively, young and refreshing, its fusion of Madals and electric guitar is a perfect blend of Eastern and Western music. The track is a patriotic song about his undying love for the country.

After being involved with 1974 AD for 16 years and having a solo career for almost nine years, churning out albums one after another is not new for him, but each experience as he describes, has always been different and significant. "I learn something new with everything I do. Whether it's making an album, writing a song, doing a gig, whatever, " he adds.

In the near future, his fourth album named Saath will be out. It's in the process of making with a few songs already completed. Saath is Adrian's dedication to every single person that has supported him and grown with him in his musical career.

Adrian asks his fans to check out the new album for 'the sheer love of music'. "I have nothing more to offer," he adds humbly, "if you like what I sing, I'm sure you'll enjoy the new songs."
