Halcyon hues of Spring
by SUBEKSHA POUDEL
ANUP PRAKASH | Whoever said women couldn't get enough of red was absolutely correct. The pleats and folds not only accentuate one's voluptuousness but add intricate style to the otherwise simple dresses. While the printed one is perfect for a day out, the regal red dress is for a red carpet occassion. Wear checked shirts with solid colour pants. For a holiday look, fold your pants up and wear the slippers and for a more sophisticated look pair it up with a simple converse. It adds a cool effect without appearing like you're trying too hard. Blue is the colour of spring. Get out of those monotonous blacks and browns of winter and experiment with these ice cream shades. Both the vibrant dress and the cute shorts are multicoloured and cheery, but do be careful not to be too loud. Abandon the single tongue converse and get into these double tongues. Be it for a formal occasion or even a casual day out, converse adds an edge to every outfit. If possible go lace-less. Oxford shoes have finally arrived in the Valley. It's tricky wearing these boyish shoes without looking like a boy. So to get a more epicene look, you can put it together with a mini dress and a balloon dress. They can even be paired up with skinny jeans or leggings. Fashion fiestas are often spotted in this particular look. The sultry V-neck tee paired with faded skinny jeans tucked inside the huge tongue sneakers not only projects a cool - dude look but will also make any girl go gaga.
