Rajan Yonjan is still very deluged by their win in Sprite Band Challege 2. The frontman of Sound Cuddles was convinced they would be knocked out of top 12. "It was our self-composition Dubiyera that did it," says Rajan, a sense of vindication in his voice. The band that had tried their luck in the first season had resorted to taking things easy this time round. But behind the laid-back attitude, there must have been unyielding strength.
Rajan describes the competition at Sprite Challenge 2 as something they'd never encountered before, "The whole thing was at times overpowering, everybody out there was just as good as us." Of all their competitors, the band always eyed Inflected with caution. And indeed, the lady behind that saccharine face is something of a bombshell.
The winning band went home with a cash prize of Rs 100, 000 and a deal to make a music video. The band claims they owe their victory to the many fans who stood by them throughout the competition and they promise to give back.
