Independent Film Society and Godavari Alumni Association brought together a charity event with an innovative idea. The program featured live, on-the-spot paintings by two renowned painters on 26 December, by Milan Rai and Chandra Shrestha and simultaneous jazz performance by Inner Groove. The jazz and paintings perfectly infused and created a serene and entertaining environment at the North Pole Restro Lounge at Uttardhoka, Lazimpat. Half the money raised from the sale of the paintings is to be handed over to Thinle Lhundup for his social initiatives in Dolpa, and the other half will be retained by the Independent Film Society, to organise a film festival, Cinemandap, on 2 January, 2010.
