After Mercantile introduced internet for the first time in Nepal, the world changed for all Nepalese and amidst the bittersweet competition between the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and the demand for faster and easier connections, the consumers have been, at par, in profit. WAVE caught up with ISPs in the Valley to give you the best offers available in the market. It's all about getting connected, the cheap way.

Mercantile Communications
Mercantile Communications provides internet service with fast connections. Consumer Broadband Night costs Rs 6,666 for 64 kbps per month. You can enjoy unlimited access from 7 PM to 7 AM. Specially designed for single users at home, Consumer Broadband Infinity costs you Rs. 3,999 per a month for a 64 kbps connection.

WorldLink Communications
If you're a night crawler WorldLink's Night Surfing Plus is the perfect scheme for you. Available at Rs 5500 for 6 months, you will have your connection up and running from 5:30 PM to 9:30 AM with speed upto 320 kbps. Add to that, 12 hours a month for daytime use and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Surfwell Standard gives your 24 hours of unlimited internet access and costs Rs 6500 for six months at 128 kbps speed. A dial-up account of 10 hours is also provided for back up purpose.

WorldLink offers wireless internet as Wi-Zoom e Night Surfing Plus. With Rs 3500 for three months and speed upto 320 kbps the connection's available from 6 PM to 10 AM with 24 hours access on Saturday and Sunday. For 128 kbps wireless internet 24 hours a day, Wi-Zoom e Surfwell Standard is the best option. It costs Rs 4000 for three months for a 24 hours connection

Subisu Cablenet
True Cable Nite Home Edition gives you internet connection from 6 PM to 9 AM with cable television at just Rs 850 per month! Rates increases according to the speed. 128 kbps and 256 kbps in the same scheme will cost you Rs 1200 and Rs 1800 per month respectively. You are also bound to get 24 hours internet connection on Saturdays and Subisu listed public holidays for a month on the purchase of the scheme. For unlimited internet access 24 hours a day with cable television True Cable 24/7/365 Home Edition is the best offer. Costing Rs 1150 per month for a 64 kbps connection  the cost increases as the speed increases. But 128kbps and 256 kbps at the price of Rs 1600 and Rs 2500 per month is a sweet deal!

Nepal Telecom
Without any hassle and installation charges, you can easily get broadband quality connection from Nepal Telecom. Introduced just recently, ADSL is on 24 hours a day with no extra telephone bill charge except the port charge of Rs 100.  ADSL costs Rs 800 per month for a 128 kbps connection. The only additional purchase you'll have to make is the ADSL router which varies in price depending on the brand which is widely available in the market. Perfect for a home user!
