International Climate Champions

British Council announced 10 young, dynamic International Climate Champions from Nepal on 28 August, 2009. These Champions demonstrate strong commitment to carry out climate change action to inspire and encourage others to make a difference in our world. The 10 young, dynamic International Climate Champions are Manjeet Dhakal, Sushila Pandit, Rojesh Shrestha, Sunder Layalu, Pragati Shahi, Tshering Sherpa, Kriti Shrestha, Kanchan Shrestha, Niraj Tamrakar and Amita Thapa Magar. Besides being provided with financial support to realise their project, the young champions will be exposed to various opportunities: training, meeting national and international representatives and networking with International Climate Champions around the world.
