Morang Auto Works, the sole authorised distributor of Yamaha bikes in Nepal, launched a competition titled 'Road Trip to Everest' to all its existing, as well as the new customers of Yamaha FZ 16. A total of three winners will be chosen via a lucky draw for a chance to be part of a tour to Everest Base Camp, along with three national celebrities. Pop star Nima Rumba, VJ Suraj Singh Thakuri and gold-medallist athlete Dipak Bista, as part of the campaign, will be joining the lucky winners on their Yamaha FZ 16 in a thrilling and exciting trip to Everest Base Camp. This is the first time, in the history of Nepal, that bike of 150 CC category will be used as the main mode of transport to such high altitude. Only strong bike and strong riders are advised to travel in the tour, as oxygen level falls down while the altitude increases. Till date only 4X4 wheel drive SUV's have travelled on that road. The forms for the event are available in all Yamaha outlets and the lucky draw opens on 26 June. The tour towards the base camp will start on 18 July.

Quite some adventure it may sound, I think MAW is totally misleading this campaign for their own promotion rather than for the tourism in Nepal! Why don't they do some charity work to help people living in poverty which I'm sure will only bring them goodwill of all. What a load of bxxxxxt this is! Good luck to the trio who will undertake this 'fake' promotion of Nepali tourism at the cost of blazing noise of engine in the serenity of the EBC!
