Jalpari on stage

Dabali Theatre group presented a play based on Henrik Ibsen's Lady from the Sea titled Jalpari on the 19 and 21 May at Rastriya Nach Ghar, Jamal. The play, which was directed by senior artist Pushkar Gurung had actress Namrata Shrestha as the protagonist Ellida. Other actors included Dayahang Rai, Binita Lama, Krisitha GC, Bikram Pariyar and Ghansashyam Gautam among others. The play saw a respectable turnout in its two day run and the performances by most of the actors was laudable. The plot dealt with Ellida's extra-marital affair and the confinement and neurosis that comes with it.

Right now i am in India for a training so i miss it, but hope It will be acted on the stage later also so I also can see the play. Is this also based on the programme made by Madan Krishna and Hari Bansa? Kind to you go on doing creative works n something experimental. yadavchapagain@hotmail.com
