On the occasion of 200th anniversary of the Great Russian writer Nikolai Gogol, Russian Cultural Centre and Shailee Theatre presented a drama titled Inspector General on 31 March. The packed Russian Cultural Centre staged the play that was translated by Khagendra Sangraula and directed by Nabaraj Budathoki. The satirical play revolved around the inhabitants of an unnamed town and showed the extremes they would go to impress a person in power to cover-up their lack of responsibility. Apart from dramatic acting in places and the time duration the play had the audience in spliting with laughter at places.
