Godavari Alumni Association (GAA) organised its annual Champadevi clean-up hike, which it has been conducting for the past three years. Around 90 participants took part in the cleaning up programme. A total of 30 kilos of garbage was collected from Champadevi and its adjacent areas. The annual programme was conducted as part of GAA's effort to control environmental pollution and its disastrous tribulations in places of historical importance. Environmental pollution is one of the main causes of degradation of historically important places and also the cause of various diseases.
