Everything you wanted to know about him but didn’t know who to ask.

Born on 14 November 1980, Asif Shah, a Scorpio, is compassionate, looks charismatic and has fine taste in fashion.

Started his career in the media as a video jockey in Channel Nepal after seeing an ad in the paper, then moved on to become a filmmaker, a radio jockey, music video director, singer and recently even entered the world of television ads.

Asif is happily married and has a daughter, Ashira. Declares that she is the most special and important person in his life.

Hasn't met any die-hard fans throughout his career and doesn't think he has any (we doubt that!). "I try and hide when I am out," says Asif, "because I don't know how to react to such situations."

Every time he returns to Kathmandu from abroad, Asif takes a ride around the city in a cab from the airport before heading home, because he misses his country so much.

A television buff, he can't live without watching TV. Often sits around flipping channels but hits the gym when there's load shedding.

Listens to a lot of Hindi songs (old and new), gazals and a little of English music.

Asif's favourite hangout spots are Java and Jai Nepal Cinema Hall. Some of his favourite movies that he's seen more than thrice are Rang De Basanti, Rock On, Omkara, Munna Bhai MBBS and most recently, Luck By Chance.

His most memorable moment was when he received an award for his short movie Sonam and his embarrassing moment was when a girl seized the ball from him in a friendly football match organised by WAVE.

Asif does not help around much at home but enjoys cooking and does so when he feels like it. His specialities are chicken items. He loves to eat kukhurako masu and bhaat.

Last month, Asif released a video as a tribute to his friend, musician Cool Pokhrel, praying that his soul rest in peace.
