Film South Asia, a festival of South Asian documentaries, screened Pakistani film Khuda Kay Liye at Yala Maya Kendra on 25 February. The film, directed by Pakistani director Shoaib Mansoor, has been critically received worldwide for its original and bold depiction of relationships between moderate and extremist Muslims in a deeply religious country like Pakistan. Khuda Kay Liye was the first Pakistani film to be released in commercial theatres in India after four decades.

At the event, members of the FSA Secretariat also announced that the seventh edition of Film South Asia '09 will take place in Kathmandu from 17-20 September 2009. FSA is accepting entries to the festival for the current edition and the early deadline for submission is 31 May 2009. For details on FSA and online entry form, visit www.filmsouthasia.org.
