Ghimire on Paleti

Veteran poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire appeared on the long-running Paleti series on 27 February at nepa~laya's 'r'-sala. People gathered at the theatre seemed eager for a rendevous with Madhav. The legendary poet, who is in the 90th year of his life, shared some of his thoughts on the era passed by. Suraj and Meena rendered some of Madhav's creation in tunes which left the audience mesmerised. The on-going Paleti series is a tribute to those artistes dedicated to adhunik Nepali music. The series has been organised by nepa~laya since 2005.

Yi roye pani dukha lagchha yinale samjhe ki aama bhani Yi hanse pani sukha chhaina yinale birseki aama bhani. GAURI KHANDAKABYA Yi priya KAKA ghimire haru ka. Yi priya bhaka pakhera haru ka. Yi juga banchun KABITA banera. Yo desha mero GHARA ho bhanera.
