As if his day job as a visualiser in an ad agency isn't hectic enough, Bidhan Rajbhandari spent six sleepless nights browsing movies and the internet for ideas for his poster design. But his efforts paid off. The 24-year-old from Hetauda emerged as the grand winner of the Design & Win Competition, walking away with an iMac. Organised by Pencil Education and Billy Blue College of Design, the theme of the contest was helping Nepalis achieve their goals for better education. It also aimed to spread awareness of the education program run by Australian Himalayan Foundation in Khumbu. "It was not only a chance to prove myself as a competent graphic designer, it's also mission iMac accomplished," says a beaming Bidhan, who is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Management at Tribhuban University. Out of 49 entries submitted, 20 were selected for an exhibition at Gallery 32 in Dent-inn at Darbar Marg. The showcase will run till 3 March.

I read the article. Congratulation Bidhan. But unfortunately, i am not able to see your work. Wave team, i would have really appreciated if you had uploaded his work along with others, or at least linked to the page where i could see it. Without the winning graphics, this article doesnt make much sense. So, please try to come up with complete content which really makes sense to the readers.

I would like to congratulate Bidhan on this success. As a fellow Hetaudite, I am pleased by this recognition. On behalf of EduVision, a non-profit fooundation trying to introduce a scientific education in Hetauda, I can use him as an example of positive thinking and creativity. Kudos Bidhan!
