Influenced by independent artists like Julia Wertz, Natalie Dee and Laura Park, Preena Shrestha started Lunch-Hour Doodles a year ago. She kept herself busy with this during her lunch hour breaks in college in Australia to avoid the cafeteria crowd. Preena does not necessarily incorporate punch lines or jokes in her strips like people have come to expect of comics. "Subtlety is what appeals to me" says the 21-year-old. You can catch Lunch-Hour Doodles at the Bakery Café, Pulchowk. The illustrations are being curated by photo.circle and will go on till the 15 February.
