Writing about love is like reading the comments about a book on its cover. You get a feel of what the story is about but don't experience the ethos of emotions the book evokes within you while you read it. So, even if it's February and the air is filled with invisible heart-shaped balloons, I refrain myself from writing about love. Some say that I am growing old but I justify myself by saying I don't want to be predictable.

But I was wrong, because no matter how hard one tries there is no way one can stay away from love. It has a way of finding us when we least expect it and in the most irregular of situations. It could be in the eyes of a stranger at the bus stop, a wall post from a long lost friend or in a random, tiny gesture. Love, as cheesy as it sounds, is all around us. It's the lack of this realisation that makes people put love on a pedestal. Identifying love is not as big a problem as it is to keep the euphoria alive.

Love, regardless of its forms needs nurturing like a plant does with the correct amount of sunlight and watering. Without understanding and good communication, love slowly withers away. It's creating the balance that is a constant struggle. Celebrating the love or loves in your life once a year on Valentine's Day is definitely not the way to do so. Sorry, I tried to keep this space free from the mention of the marketing scheme called Valentine's Day but I failed. So does this mean I am predictable or that I am still young ;)?
