Artistic path to freedom

On the 9-27 November, artist Kiran Manandar's and photographer Deependra Bajracharya's collaborative artistic pieces went on display at Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal. Called the The Journey of Liberation, the show consisted of a new form of abstract artistic paintings. The exhibit organised on the occasion of Kathmandu International Theatre Festival 2008, displayed 30 collage paintings of Deependra Bajracharya's photographs, which had been torn by Kiran and combined, with his own unique creative perception of the photos. These painting aspire to show the present situation of the people in Nepal today. Also, the journey of liberation represents the people's continued effort to find freedom in the country.
