You grow up, change, have your I-don't-like-adults phase, go to college, but Dashain arrives without fail every year as it always does. You may outgrow counting your dakshinas over and over again and suddenly dread that season when you have to smile at all those people. But even though you may be less enthused about buying new clothes now, Dashain still brings that air of a shopping paradise. Somehow Dashain isn't Dashain without a new piece of something to gloat about. This Dashain season, WAVE asked six celebrities to show us what they like best and these were their choices:

Superstar

ALL IMAGES: ANUP PRAKaSH
Popstar Jabeek sports a superstar look in chic metallic Puma sneakers from UFO (Rs 6,490) and large shades from the Nike showroom (Rs 12, 990), while the washed-out torn jeans from About You (Rs 1,890) balances the look out. He's a shopper who knows exactly what he wants and his favourite colours are the bright and happy kinds that go with the Dashain season. He's also wearing a classic Tommy Hilfiger chronograph watch from the Nike Showroom (Rs 8,990), foil-print t-shirt (Rs 690) and a cotton blazer on top (Rs 3,675) from Bossini.

Wearing who he is

Manas from Nepsydaz looks comfortable in a pink-ensemble with a checked shirt (Rs 1,720) and tee (Rs 1,035) from Bossini and blue jeans from Together (Rs 1,495). Manas says he is someone who wears who he is, although he is brand-loyal to Fossil. He indulges is shoes, and here he is wearing shoes from Reebok (Rs 6,490), which compliments his look along with the Tommy Hilfiger chronograph watch from the Nike showroom. (Rs 9,990).

In action

Saugat, a theatre actor and star of Kagbeni, is the kind of shopper who buys by instinct. He'll go into a shop and try on a number of pants, and choose the one that 'feels' right. He says he isn't brand conscious, but with grey shoes from Converse (Rs 2,290) and sleek dual-time watch from Tommy Hilfiger (Nike showroom, Rs 12,990), he certainly looks stylish and ready to go. Saugat's favourite colour is blue, like the Puma T-shirt he's wearing from UFO (Rs 1,198) and blue jeans from Dot (Rs 1,450).

The colour purple

Reecha is an actress, VJ and RJ and here, she is all dressed up in silver satin pumps from Peltz (Rs 1,450), silky shirt-dress with cuffed sleeves from Oops (Rs 1,190) and a large matching purple ring. When Reecha shops, the first thing she looks at is colour – and pink is her all-time favourite. She looks stunning in purple with accessories from Bentley (ring: Rs 1,450, earrings: Rs 1,950, dress watch: Rs 4,950).

Elegance

Former Miss Tamang Zenisha is an easygoing shopper, who is comfortable in almost anything. She looks sophisticated in a chiffon top (Rs 3,150) and black pants (Rs 3,595) from Ginger. Her silver clutch from Zara and her dress watch (Bentley, Rs 4,550), and other accessories like the black enamel ring (Rs 1,250) and faux diamond chandelier earrings from Bentley (Rs 3,450) add to the overall impression of sheer elegance.

Summer's staying

Former Miss World University and actress Usha looks cheerful in a light summery floral dress from Dot (Rs 725) with matching dress-watch in an offbeat tangy colour. Her favourite brands are Zara and Mexx, and her secret indulgence are hats – she's even got a collection of them! Her metallic sandals (Rs 1,467) and other accessories from Bentley add that extra  bit of oomph (silver earrings: Rs 550, Dress watch: Rs 1,150, bead bracelet: Rs 700).
