Kutumba with Barta and Binod

A concert titled Kutumba Sangai Barta Ra Binod took place in the courtyard of Patan Museum on the warm evening of 20 September. Kutumba started the concert with their popular tunes. After a short break, the main highlight of the event–the sibling duo of Barta and Binod, took centre stage. Though young, Binod's maturity was apparent in his voice as he sang covers of Bhakta Raj Acharya's songs. But it was actually Barta who garnered huge appreciation for her original composition Garib Bhai Bachnu Paryo. The startling notes of her sarangi, accompanied by her beautiful voice and the heart-wrenching lyrics, made this performance the high point of the evening. The event was organised to collect funds for the education of Barta and Binod. Kutumba donated a part of their earning from their CD sales to the sibling duo's scholarship fund.
