Politically aware

With great power comes great responsibility says the tag line of Spiderman movies and I can't help associate that with our politicians. Politics is said to be a process through which a group of people make decisions that affect others' lives. But I wonder if our politicians realise the impact they have on our lives.

Being Nepalis we are born with the ke garne, estai ho attitude. We are taught to not question or demand for our rights. Rather we chose to quietly accept or point fingers at others. And usually it's at the government. But who put those people in power? Why do we let ourselves be duped every time by mere promising words? And moreover, why do we, the youth, silently accept the nuisance that happens around us? Is it because we know nothing is going to change or is it because we know too little?

While discussing for this months Young Ideas which focuses on Education and Politics, the eloquent students all echoed that politics is a dirty game. I made the mistake of thinking the same until some years back when a bunch of students corrected me saying it was the politicians that are dirty not politics itself. Now that I know more, I couldn't agree more with it. But it's the difference in this thinking that has me questioning if we really do know too little about the key factors that will touch us and our surroundings in the coming future.

Its high time we, the youth, become more alert, aware and started questioning on the decisions made for us on a national level. Tomorrow is ours, let's shape it the way we want it.

WELL ITS THE POLTICS IN WHICH FAITH OF ALL THE PEOPLE DEPENDS.SO CLEAN AND CLEAR POLTICS IS WHAT WE WANT,RATHER THAN POLTICS OF JUST PROMISING WORDS,WHICH TO MY KNOWLEDGE NEVER CAME TRUE. ANYWAYS ITS OUR COUNTRY GUYS. DO WHAT YOU CAN,BELIVE IN YOURSELF AND ALWAYS BE READY TO FACE THE OBSTACLES.

yeah! politics is not a dirty game, it depends on the politicians themselves!! moreover our politicians are self indulgence. the youths of our country are lacking any vision and self confidence.so, the only option they have is going abroad and i really not liking all these things.I DO AGREE WITH THE FACT THAT THERE ARE LESS OPPORTUNITIES IN OUR COUNTRY BUT INSTEAD OF RUNNING AWAY OR WAITNING FOR IT TO APPROACH, WE SHOULD ALL WORK TO CREATE OUR OWN OPPOTUNITIES.
