'New' seems to be the word of the month. For starters it's the beginning of a new season, which translates into new fashion styles and that definitely means new clothes. What's also new this month is our chance to smear our finger with blue ink and be a true Nepali, most likely for the very first time for many. Yes, a chance to vote, a chance to revamp the very system of our country we blamed everything on. It brings an opportunity to be a part of the metamorphosis that the nation will go through and emerge as a better and more organised Nepal. But most of all, it is an occasion where we fulfil your civic duty and earn the right to complain and question the leaders we put in power. This month is our moment in the sun when we can directly have our voice heard without burning tyres on the street, calling a strike or moving to foreign lands for a better tomorrow. Even though we might not immediately reap what we sow on 10 April, we can be content that the generations to come will have it better than we did. Apathy at this age might be cool but do keep in mind that it was because of the same apathy of our elders that we had to live the dark years in the past. It's our turn now to make Nepal better because it is us who will live in this Nepal for a longer time. And the starting point for this is being a part of the CA elections.
