Mad for Momos

Nati Maharjan set a new speed momo eating record by eating 33 momos in one minute. The record was set in Palpa during Momo Mania 2008. Organised by Nanglo International, the annual event is in its seventh instalment. Held in Butwal and Palpa over the 26-27 January weekend, the event offered 21 varieties of momos and eight special sauces and achars. Momo Mania also featured live performances by Kutumba and Japanese artist Mica Sundari. The even will be held in Kathmandu at the Sundhara Bakery Café on 2 February.
