It's that time of the year again—blue skies, balmy sunshine and holidays. Of course, there are get-togethers and kite flying, but for many of us, Dasain means time to take off and head for the hills, ceasefire or no ceasefire.
Dasain has always seemed like the perfect time to travel across the country, meet people you haven't met for years or might have never met. Most young Nepalis are often in a hurry to fly abroad and regret not having taken the time to learn more about where they come from. So this issue, WAVE invited some of them to share their Dasain experiences away from home.
We'd also like to invite all those in Kathmandu to join us and many others at the Shanti Mandala on 18 October as we pay homage to fellow Nepalis who have died in the conflict.
