WHAT'S UP
Youth for Water
A month-long discussion conference held by various leading youth clubs of Lalitpur finally came to a conclusion on 27 June 2007. The conference was mainly centered around the conservation and better utilization of water resources and also included a rally on 16 June and a signing of a document of pledge by the involved youth. The closing ceremony was chaired by the director of World Health Organization, Haji Hejinan. WAVE Mr. University Nepal Hembung Rai and 1st Runner-ups of the contest David Shakya and Akriti Shrestha were also present at the ceremony. The program featured reading out of the document of pledge by Dr. Roshan Raj Shrestha, chief technical advisor of UN-Habitat.
