Young Minds Outstanding Award-2061, organized by Young Minds Bi-monthly Magazine, was held in Pokhara recently. Here is a round up of the winners and the event:
Best Male RJ: Dipendra Shrestha (Annapurna FM).
Best Female RJ: Mina Gurung (Macchhapuchre FM).
Best News Readers: Dipendra Shrestha (Annapurna FM).
Most Entertainging Program: 2 PM Tune with Us hosted by Sanjay Malla and Samikchya Koirala (Annapurna FM).
Best Advertisement: Bimal Dahal (Annapurna FM, for Philips).
Listener's Choice Award: Shantiraj Poudel "Santosh" (Macchhapuchre FM).
Listener's Choice Award: Dhukdhuki Pop Sangeet (Macchhapuchre FM).
Social Program Award: Aawaaj (Himchuli FM).
Folk Program Award: Susheli (Himchuli FM).
Informative Program Award: IT Hour (Pokhara FM).
All the awards were handed by Chief Guest social worker Madan KC. Talking about the Awards, its' Program Coordinator Udeshwor Subedi told WAVE, the event's official magazine, "We have started a new trend in Pokhara. All the winners were chosen on the basis of listeners' vote. We will give this a continuity in forth coming years too."
Similarly, Rigendra Giri of the organizing committee thanked all the media supporters and the listeners for making the Award ceremony a grand success. The organizers also awarded Durga Humagain, Chief of Himalmedia Western Nepal, a token of love as an appreciation.
More than 12 artists and bands from Kathmandu and Pokhara also performed at the function.
