Is a self-taught musician. Was a businessman dealing with telecommunication equipment and accessories before music happened to him 10 years ago. The rest, as they say, is history.

Started out as a singer and later branched out into various creative outlets. Nowadays he's a well known composer with many famous and catchy tunes under his belt. Multi-tasks: apart from humming tunes, he's equally good at video editing and directing and graphics designing.

Is well versed with technological changes around him and makes it a point to keep up with the changes in his vocation. Reads a lot of technical literature and how-to's to learn more about the software he's using.

Works hard, very hard. Is in his studio for 8 straight hours a day. Yet is a familyman and spends all his free time with his family.

His first stage performance was in a program organised to mark Visit Nepal '98. He sang Bhai Gayo Ni Jau in front of thousands of people, in Ason.

Even though we've all seen him in religious garb, dancing, more like jumping up and down in the entire length of the video, to the tunes of neo-bhajan, he says, "I try to be religious." Makes it a point to go for puja every morning. Jests, "Lately, God hasn't been looking after me."

Sharing the stage with the likes of Nick Harper, Mike Peters, Glenn Tilbrook among others for the recent Everest Rocks concert as the most memorable incident of his life, till date. Apart from that, Jems is also involved with various charity events and projects and supports their causes wholeheartedly.

If given a chance to organise a dream gig, Eric Clapton, J J Cale and Tracy Chapman will certainly be performing. In the future, he sees himself making programs for television and involved in music marketing.

Not so inclined towards sports. But during junior days, he'd enjoyed participating in Soda Challenge football rounds, where the winning team had to be treated to a bottle of soda by the losing side. Has both tasted the sweet success of soda and has paid for them!

Last lines: "Hasta la vista, baby!"
