With efforts from the director of Lions Club of Annapurna, Sonam Sangpo and UK citizen Benjamin Meyeer, a total of USD 420,000 was raised to equip 24 government schools with clean drinking water. In that context, the representatives of these schools in Syangja and Kaski were given out Euro-guard equipments. Coordinator of the program, Dudh Man Gurung informed that distribution of Euro-guard was initiated to prevent water borne diseases among the school children. After its inception in 1987, Lions Club of Annapurna has been involved in sectors of health, education and social work.
