The second batch of Actor's Studio concluded their three month long theatre training with the staging of Talakjung versus Tulke on 27 July to 29 at the Rimal Theater, Gurukul. Based on the play written by Lu Xun's True Story of AH-Q, the play revolves around Talakjung, and very artistically compares the Chinese revolution of 1911 with the turmoil our country went through in the past 10 years. The play was directed by Anup Baral, a prominent personality in Nepali theatre. With exceptional enactment of Talakjung by Ashanta Sharma and Bishnu Bhakta Phuyal as Ranjung, the play ran houseful for the three days it was staged. With political figures such as CPN (Maoist) chairman Prachanda, Dr Baburam Bhattarai and minister for Physical Planning and Works Hisila Yami were also present in the audience.
