ANUP PRAKASH

Born on 20 September, 1979 in Mangalbaaray, Morang as the youngest child; has two brothers and two sisters. Mom's a housewife, dad works at Maalpot Karyalay. Lived an introverted childhood with few friends.

Education SLC from Siddharth Sisu Sadan, Biratnagar in 1996; IA from RR Campus in 1998; now studying BA in Trichandra College.Has been working as assistant librarian at Radio Sagarmatha since 1998; started presenting Khel Maidaan the same year. Salary was Rs 3000 per month. "My station manager heard the show and offered me another program, Naya Pusta." Now earns nearly Rs 13, 000 with the same job.

Recorded Mero Sansaar, his first number as 1MB in 2001 but had recorded Ma Maya Garchhu with DA 69 before that. Has so far sung around 50 songs (1 Newari, 2 for films) and has 4 albums. Always launches his albums at Dakshinkaali temple, offering a copy to the goddess.

Love Track First ever proposal came in grade 5 from a 3rd grader in an exam hall. "I liked that girl too." Also had an affair in class 7 but the serious one was about four years later when he met Lisa, his wife. Has a 9-month-old daughter Angelisa. "My love has now shifted more to my daughter."

Fair amount of political awareness. "I read/watch news to update myself with current happenings; plus, I talk to journalist friends of mine about current politics."

Favorite place Chitwan's Sauraha when goes with Lisa.

Clothing Not brand conscious and says doesn't mind shopping on the streets. "Last time, I bought a pair of gloves on the footpath." Even likes to eat paanipuri in New Road's evening market. "But I can't eat alone there; I need a friend along."

Rides Enticer but is planning to buy a car.

Cooks Aalu fry, cleans house and also goes for shopping for home supplies sometimes. 
Fears height and bathing in a bathtub.

Changes appearance often by growing or trimming hair. "The idea is that one particular look shouldn't monotone people."  Currently working on new album called School Paathsaala targeted to be released by coming Dashain/Tihar.

Future plans to sing songs in various genres like rock, hip-hop, folk and even bhajans.
Has a dream to involve his daughter in the music industry.
