Where are the ex Miss Nepals?

First Miss Nepal 1994 Ruby Rana now works as a beautician at her own beauty parlor Ruby Cindrella Beauty Parlour and Training Centre in New Road. She is grooming the top 19 contestants for this year's Miss Nepal.

After showing her acting skills in Nepali movies, Miss Nepal 1995 Sumi Khadka left the country a few years ago. Now, she works as an air hostess for Qatar Airways.

Poonam Ghimire worked for Nepal Television and appeared in some ads after she wore the crown of Miss Nepal 1996. She is now in America with her family.

Miss Nepal 1997 Neelima Gurung is in her hometown Pokhara with her husband and children. She works at Laxmi Bank and also finds time for social work through three different social organizations.

Jharana Bajracharya was the first Miss Nepal to participate in Miss World in 1997. Besides acting in Nepali movies, she was also featured as an item girl in Love In Nepal. She's now in Mumbai in her quest to get into the Bollywood industry.

Miss Nepal 1998 Neeru Shrestha used to work for Buddha Air as a pilot but she hasn't returned to the country after the airlines sent her to the US some years ago for a training program.

Right after being crowned Miss Nepal 1999, Sweta Singh appeared in Fair and Lovely's famous ad. Now, she works as a manager at Samsung Digital World's showroom at Durbarmarg.

Usha Khadgi was working as a programme presenter at NTV before she participated in Miss Nepal 2000. Now she works for Promotion Nepal, a media house she's running with her husband and also runs two TV programs at Nepal 1.

Miss Nepal 2002 Malvika Subba works as a full timer at Kantipur Television and hosts Call Kantiupur. She's also doing her masters in mass communication and journalism from Kantipur City College.

Miss Nepal 2003 Preety Sitaula left for the US last year to study media studies after she got the scholarship from Orbit International Education to study in Liberty University of Virginia. 

Miss Nepal 2004 Payal Shakya is in Australia with her boyfriend Sarun Tamrakar and is studying management studies at Holmes Institute of Accounting.

Miss Nepal 2005 Sugarika KC has been involved in social and conservation works through Reyukai and WWF Nepal after she won the title. She's currently studying environment science at Viswo Niketan Campus.
