They say true love is blind, but don't push your luck by inflicting old, torn jeans or that shapeless sweatshirt on your beloved too often. You don't have to go all out, or always aim for the classic dressed-up "date" that our February models sport on the cover. But if you are doing Valentine's Day, make sure you put on some kind of a show. WAVE picks three flirty—and fashionable—looks.

The look: Classy casual
The date: A movie or dinner
The elements: Simple blocks of colour, no complicated patterns. Keep accessories fun, but minimal—a classy watch, or simple yet eye-catching earrings. The key to getting this right is not overdoing it.
The clothes: Sumika wears a red knit sleeveless turtleneck (from UFO), tan stretch pants (from Globus) and black pencil-heeled boots. Manchin wears a grey cable-knit sweater (from Dots), tailored black pants, and formal black shoes.

The elements: You want denim for this one to create a look that says you're not afraid to get your hands dirty, if it means fun. Don't mistake this look for sloppiness, though—rather, verging on aggressive and edgy.
