FEBRUARY WAVE

Every article in WAVE's February issue was good. 'Love in Conflict' was especially interesting as I never thought Maoists could be romantic. But you seem to confuse Gurung and Tamu in the What's Up section. They are not different castes. Gurungs prefer Tamu at traditional functions.

– Nebin Omar, Pokhara

I've been reading WAVE regularly for three years but the February issue was so good that it compelled me to write to you. The Cover Story and Bandwagon were great. Good job! Can you increase the size of the poster and publish Santana, Blink 182, Limp Bizkit and other western grunge, punk, and metal bands?

– Caesar Thapa, Damauli

Articles in the February issue were cool. I loved 'Love in Conflict' the most. It was exciting to learn about love affairs among people involved in war but I hope they learn to love the whole of mankind too. I felt sorry reading Asmita Manandhar's article and wish her 'Get well soon'.

– Sudarshan Acharya, USA

Thank you for Nepathya's poster. I enjoyed reading Pushkar and 'Young and famous' in the February issue. The songbook was really cool too! Can you publish posters of great guitarists?

– Sandesh

KARMA AND PLACES

I liked everything about WAVE except the full-page ads. Also, I was amazed because whatever was written in Karmascope turned out to be true for me! It would be nicer if you guys could do more stories from outside the Valley. – Chandra Gurung

Thank you for covering not just cities like Pokhara and Dharan but places like Tamghas too. I liked the Yatralogue. It made people feel that Resunga is both a holy place and tourist destination. 'Sayal' and 'M&M' were good stories. Can you publish Nabin Bhattarai's poster?

– Binod Thapa

WAVES AGO

Y'all doing a nice job. I was into other magazines but now, WAVE's started pulling me. Sorry about late comment but when you talk about Nep-hop (November WAVE), from where do Avinash, Apar, and k2z come in? I don't think they are good rappers. Their rhymes aren't great. People think rap is easy but it's not. I respect Nepsydaz and DA 69 but fakers just got to learn.

– Lyrikal Dexter fr'm D-city

Thanks for Nickelback's poster in the January issue. 'Digital Nepal' was interesting to read so was 'Hari the Potter'. And Shikhar concert sounded like one helluva concert.

– Amrit Gurung (NSC)

CELEBRITY COUPLES

Reading about our own celebrity couples was more interesting than reading about Hollywood and Bollywood couples. Hats off for making February WAVE a great issue.

– Bhrikuti Rai

Thanks for writing about Malvika and Manoj. I'm a big 1974 AD fan. WAVE has done a great job covering lifestyle and youthful ideas. The colourful pages and texts have made the magazine really good.

– Manoj Gurung, Pokhara

Thanks for the story on Payal and Sarun. Can we have their poster too?

– Asmita Kharel, Kathmandu

OASIS

February issue was good, especially Readers Write, Cover Story and the feature on celebrity couples. It's good to know those beauty queens are in love but the news must have broken many fans' hearts. Also, I don't think you should give Oasis such priority. Youngsters have other problems besides love.

– Sanjay KC, Bhairahawa

I've been reading WAVE for five years and love reading Oasis. Please include it always.

– Anu, London, England

HOPING

I was hoping to see Nepal Star on the poster.

– Rajesh Subba, Jhapa

I like WAVE for giving us information on music and good things. Can you publish Anil Singh's poster?

– Da, dpu stha (btm)

X-MANTRA

Thanks for featuring X-Mantra in Bandwagon. Please put Nepali rock stars on poster.

- Rajen Pradhan

Thanks for the information on X-Mantra. Can you give us information on international bands like Pantera, Kreator, Sepultura and Slayer?

– Saroj Maharjan, Patan

SONGBOOK

I liked Young Ideas in the February issue. I'm a big fan of GnR. Please publish their poster. Also, can you include lyrics and chords of The Shadows' Banda Nepal?

– Lalu and Bibas, Baglung

February's songbook was really good. I'm a big fan of Michelle Branch, can you put her on poster or publish more of her lyrics?

– Chime Shrestha, Kathmandu

Dear Chime: The girl holding the guitar on the cover of our February songbook is Michelle Branch.

A friend of mine gave me a copy of WAVE and I found it so interesting that I've been reading it ever since. We in Darjeeling get to know about many things happening in Nepal. January's songbook was cool. Can you publish stuff on fashion? After all, fashion rules!

– Nimsa, Darjeeling

WAVEMAG.COM.NP

I read your magazine and browse your site. Your last issue was fabulous. Please publish Black Eyed Peas' poster. You've done a lot about hip-hop, return to rock.

– Subarna Maharjan

I hadn't read WAVE for a long time but today when I visited your site, I didn't think it was as good as it used to be. I hope you will go through comments, look for weak points and make it better.

– Rajendra Rai, Bramcote, UK

WAVE rocks. Your webpage is cool! The posters are superb and I'm delighted to find that the songbook focuses on all top bands. Great job!

– Sadichchha Shrestha

We love your site. We often fly to Nepal from Europe/Canada. Some of my friends want to date Suresh Marhatta. Can you put him for Date with Stars?

– Susmita Rana

I really like your website and magazine. It's quite good and is fun to be able to access it from all over the world. Especially Pushkar dai. He's right, in South Africa, nobody knows where Nepal is. Only if we say Mt Everest will they understand. Keep it up and God bless you! Jai Nepal.

– Jasmine

THE MAG

You call WAVE a youth magazine but its not sporty enough. A youth mag should be sporty, don't you think?

– Sagar Thapa, Kalaiya

WAVE is the best magazine in the world!

– Suprita

WAVE is definitely the No 1 youth magazine in Nepal. Every WAVE issue is special and the cover is mind-blowing. Keep it up. Can you increase the number of pages or decrease the advertisements? We don't mind paying a little more.

– Peekay

CONDOLENCES

Anil of Karma Band recently lost his beloved mother. I would like to extend my heartfelt condolence.

– Arati, Lazimpat

On behalf of our readers and music fans, WAVE extends condolences to Anil, the Karma Band's drummer, and his family. May God help you through these troubled times.
