Dear Editor,
Last month I sent a letter to WAVE without expecting any response but your response showed how dedicated your team really is to your readers. I think I was a little harsh regarding my opinion about the elements that make up WAVE; I was preoccupied with a lot of stuff at the time. WAVE has become a voice of the youth to some extent, no one can argue with that! And we all want it to be that way when we are facing what is probably the worst time of this century (our political situation). And our artists have shown in numerous occasions that music is a medium that can bring us together. Of course, there are lots of things other than music and WAVE has done a wonderful job by providing opportunities and information to its readers. I certainly enjoyed the IT special and I particularly like your attitude when you said, "we try our best to make sure that what we promote is by Nepalis." Keep it up.

Dear Editor
I am a regular WAVE reader and to me your magazine switches between the mundaine and the refreshing. Mundane times are those when you talk about the same old stuff that the MTV and the FM stations cannot stop blabbering about. And refreshing are those times when you put out something bold, something new. The current tribute going out to the Axe Men who have been prominent in the Nepali Music Industry, on the other hand, is revitalizing. However, I am writing to you about different matters altogether. The last paragraph in January 2005's Editorial [Change of Plans] was an altogether refreshing experience. Although they weren't many words, it was enough. My favorite lines are "Travel the world, the one within yourself and the one around you- you live, you truly do learn. Make up for lost time. And of course, if you want to play then its best you finish your work on time." Those were some inspiring sentences that you wrote. They still resonate in my mind. Thanks for making my day.

Nitish.

Hi WAVE family,
Thank you for the article on Binayak Shah and Naresh Thapa. It was a pleasure reading about them. Most people there [Nepal] don't realize it but your article has now made it official to the general public that there are local guitar players of international caliber and recognition living amongst us. The guitarists deserved to be featured on this series of Axe Men. Its high time people in Nepal start appreciating what musicians and guitar players do, what their role in society is and how they influence the youth and culture of a nation. I hope it inspires people to pick up an instrument. I strongly believe your magazine is the medium to spread art, music and culture to the reading masses of Nepal. Keep up the good work. Hats off to Binayak and Naresh- rock on buddies!

Rohit.

Hi Ed
3rd July 2004 was the first time I picked my first copy of WAVE and since then I've been reading it regularly. And I feel like it's the best magazine in our country. This month's issue was fabulous. Thanks to you guys for providing me with the knowledge on IT and the Easy PC helped me lot to know about the price and application of a computer. What I liked most was the Axe Men vol.3. I would like you guys to provide the posters of Axe Men of Nepal like Mukti Shakya. Once again, a great job guys and keep it up.

Sag'r Thapa (the punks).

Hi WAVE,
I liked your last issue of 2004. Since I'm a fan of metal bands please provide us with some information about metal bands in your magazine and it's been a long time that you haven't featured a metal band in the songbook. A Happy New Year to the WAVE Family.

Namaste WAVE team,
I've been a regular reader since 2001. Your IT Special in January was very interesting. Hey Guys, you say that WAVE is especially for youth but according to me I think WAVE has not featured anything lately which the youth enjoy and that's the sports and music column. We all know that WAVE has changed a lot since 2001 but why have you taken out old columns like Trash Bag, www.wavemag.com.np (www review column), and Laff Lines? I hope to see these features again.

Ojesh.

Dear Ojesh,
We too are hoping to re-introduce the sports section in our magazine from the earlier issue possible. As for the old columns you mentioned, well- we had to make space for new columns such as Nepal's, Darj & NE, PKR and Mainframe, to name a few. We hope you have been enjoying them. Thank you.

WAVE.

Dear WAVE,
I know this is little late but it only got to my mind now. I was going through the Nov. 04 issue of WAVE and read the cover story A Reason To Believe. I felt really sad for those people. They work extremely hard for their living and continue to struggle. I want to know if there is something I can do to help them.

Unnati
PKR.

Dear Unnati,
We appreciate your enthusiasm to share your privilege. If you come to KTM then perhaps you could help those people directly. However, you can always engage in some form or pro-active social work in your community in PKR itself. Pokhara Yuwa Forum might be a good place to start. You can get in touch with them through their website www.yuwaforum.org.np

Dear Ed,
We have entered the digital generation. But we don't have any cyber law so it is very difficult to deal with the new technologies .The article in the Jan. 05 issue didn't carry this fact. We have being talking about IT Park but when it will be complete is still a question. So, I request government to pass cyber law and finish the IT park project soon.

X.

Dear Ed
You guys are doing a great job. The cover story was superb and thanks for the fair and lovely. I gifted it to my sister. You guys are missing the western album review. Hope we can have it in coming issues. And in the previous issues we've been getting posters of female celebrities only. I hope we get a different poster this time. Keep up the good work.

Well-wisher.

Hi WAVE,
You guys are just too good. I've been a great fan of WAVE since my schooldays that goes back to 1996-97 when I was in my 6th or 7th standard. Though it was hard to get a copy of WAVE in Darjeeling, I just used to get hold of one from my classmates from Dharan and KTM. Well now I'm here in Banglore and it's very difficult to get a copy of WAVE here but I never forget to log on to wavemag.com.np. It was great reading your last two issues and hats off to you guys for the Dec. 04 issue and the feature on Darjeeling Carnival. I was a volunteer at the carnival when I was back home during my vacation. Your new feature DARJ is going to be a rocking one for fans like me from Darjeeling. The article on Mantra was good too.

Just a great fan.

Dear WAVE,
I have always appreciated you and I've always liked your hard work. I disagree with some readers who think oasis it not necessary. I think it is. Everyone has a problem and it's good that WAVE is trying to help. I would suggest you guys have a new content about career counseling or maybe even about beauty where your guys can recommend the best product for both men and women and also give us some health tips since I'm a biology student. I think that Nepalis should really care about what they eat and its cholesterol size.

Peacemaker.

Dear WAVE,
I really enjoyed your IT special in the Jan. issue. By the way, in your mailbox I found a message by Mr./ Ms.[??] Foorpa Lama regarding the guitarists of Nepal. How can you miss out Mr. Sarad of the AXE band? The new bands/ guitarists are really impressed by how he plays. This guy is amazing and he definitely rocks. Well, people like me who are into music these days are really inspired by him and lots of guys want to be like him for sure. As a matter of fact, you have to cover such persons who are rocking the present times. Furthermore, there's some thing lacking unless you make a cover on Mr. Sarad of the AXE in the Axe Men topic itself?
Lastly the bandwagon section featuring The Axe is simply great. Keep it up!!

Vikash.

Hi WAVE,
I am with Foorpa. I think you should cover Sarad in the axe men of Nepal after all he is the best and will you be kind enough to put the poster of Anil Singh in your next issue.

X.

Dear Foorpa and Vikash,
The Axe Men is a column dedicated to guitarists who have contributed significantly to Nepal's guitar world with an individual sound despite being a part of band. There is no doubt that Sarad is a good guitarist. However, his sound is one that is recognized as The Axe Band's, which is why we featured the whole band in our magazine last month, instead of just one member. We hope you understand.

WAVE.

Dear Ed,
I'm a regular reader of your magazine. I was very glad to see a poster of Joe Satriani on the poster. I hope you continue providing us with such posters of great musicians. Thanks.

Ashesh.
