Usha Ranjit emerged the winner after 27 talented college girls took the stage on 13 October for Fair & Lovely Miss University Nepal 2006. Hot on her heels were first runner-up Nabina Gurung and second runner-up Pauline Limbu, while Krity Shrestha was voted 'Miss Fair & Lovely' in an internet poll on fursad.com. Other winners included Simple Thapa (Miss Photogenic), Sareena Maharjan (Miss Talent), Bipana Mitruka (Miss Personality), and Pratikshya Dhakal (Miss Friendship). Usha Rajat will compete in the international Miss World University 2006 contest in Korea on 9 November.
