The Nepal River Conservation Trust organised a 'Dunga Daud', or boat race for media houses as part of its Bagmati River Festival on . Nepali media teams rafted down a 7.5 km route of the Bagmati, and highlighted the otherwise polluted river's cleaner side. The Nepal Federation of Photojournalists won, followed by the Nepal Federation of Sports Journalists, and Himalmedia (including WAVE staffers Rishi, Sworup, Shashank, and Shailee). A round of applause goes to the BAD team, comprising physically challenged contestants, who were the true champions in terms of raw enthusiasm and spirit.
