The superhuman mutants must make some difficult choices in the latest X-Men blockbuster, X-MEN:THE LAST STAND. US Corporation Worthington Industries discovers a cure for mutation. Now the mutants must choose to either retain their uniqueness which isolates them or give up their powers to become human.

Some mutants are open to the option, some are offended and insist that mutation is not a disease to be 'cured', while some are weighed down by the magnitude of the choice they must make. It becomes a tug-of-war of differences in opinion.

The desperate urgency of the cure makes its point as Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) is resurrected from her watery grave. With the cosmic power of Dark Phoenix she becomes a threat to everyone. She must be stopped, at any cost. The task befalls on Wolverine who goes through extreme internal conflict as he takes on the person he loves.

The conflicts make the plot interesting and the actors take on their characters' skin well. Though endowed with superhuman powers, the X-Men must struggle with issues and deal with problems. The film is a visual extravaganza and the special effects are amazing, easily capturing the attention of even the weary-eyed audience. With so much action: car chases, larger than life superheroes, blasts and fire, the movie will keep you on the edge of your seat.
