Dibya Khaling passes away

Nepal's popular lyricist and music composer Dibya Khaling passed away at the age of 56 on 25 June. He died while undergoing treatment for cardiac ailment at a nursing home in West Bengal. Famous for his compositions such as Malai Na Sodha Kaha Dukcha Ghaau, Ma Ta Laaligurans Bhayechhu, Hey Bir Hinda Aghi Sara, Khaling composed music for about 1,000 songs in his lifetime. Though born in Darjeeling, Khaling moved to Nepal and worked at Radio Nepal and contributed enormously to the Nepali music industry. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
