World Wildlife Fund Nepal's conservation ambassador Miss Nepal 2005 Sugarika KC went to Chitwan on 5 June to celebrate World Environment Day with young people there. She attended a programme organised to spread awareness about anti-poaching at New Padampur of Chitwan. "You are lucky to be living so close to nature; you must preserve the natural habitat and prevent poaching," she said at the event. She also planted a tree with the local people and named it 'Sugarika'. Thousands had come to see Miss Nepal 2005.
